I’m catching up on my writing project after a few days of stagnation. Ironically had I not written these three posts today (which are dated over the last few days) I’d have easily caught up to my total needed words. I’m sitting at 22,178 of 25,000 necessary to be on course for the month. All things considered that’s not too bad. We should hopefully be done raiding by Wednesday which means I’ll have the remaining half of the month to really grind away at this story.
As for the direction of it I think it is going “somewhere”. Whether or not I’ll hit a roadblock remains to be seen. I have general movers, events that’ll help shake things up, but I also have areas where I feel like I’m missing worthwhile context. Things feel a bit off, which would be fine in Calmius, but not in Bellum. The good news is that NaNoWriMo is not about writing a “good” novel in 30 days. It’s about writing “a” novel. You then take a month to rest and hopefully start editing in January.
I should be able to reach my goal. I don’t see much reason why I wouldn’t. Especially now that I’m done with Starcraft and I don’t own Fallout 4 yet. We’ll see if any more surprises come my way this month. As it stands I’ll have had just over a week less days than other people. Proud of myself with that in mind.
