Now we’ll begin this little exploration with some zoomed out shots. It’s a little less obvious just how many crumbs are on my desk. I swear, I could feed a family of pigeons with all this mess. But I’ve never been one to be embarrassed with my living conditions. Enjoy the copious amounts of fur and food particles. Both sure to astonish.
Bowser and Mario from the original run start us off below the Collector’s Corp figures. I’ve got the Hulk Buster upstairs, he’s a wee bit too big for my desk. I’ve yet to play Dragon Quest Heroes but the box looks nice and the treasure chest that the game came in is super neat. Once Disgaea is done I’ll move onto that, likely.
I adore that Yarn Amiibo. I didn’t realize they’d literally be made out of yarn. It’s super cool, very high quality, and I don’t say that lightly. This thing looks like something you’d buy for top dollar from a craft store. They’ve really outdone themselves. The green and blue ones will be coming in in the next couple of days. Bowser Jr, Charizard, and Wario are likely my favorites on this side. The 30th anniversary Mario in the back is very heavy, it actually causes the stand to lean back a bit (even with all the other figures on the front, which surprises me, could also just be the stand sucking).
Wario is taking that falcon kick to the hand like a boss.
On the right side we’ve got Fox and Sonic racing in the back. The Kong Brothers (uncle and nephew actually I think?) taking up position. Pacman is stoked to have found someone shaped roughly the same as him. And Rob isn’t sure what’s up but he’s pretty sure he’s about to bean one of those apes with the pink ball.
Next we’ll move into some of the closer shots, just to give you a sense of my amazing organizational skills.
Titans of old battle it out. Along with enough fur around their bases to make another cat. Long hairs really do shed…
A nice shot of my two outliers. I didn’t know what to do with them but I figured them battling made a lot of sense. Mario is staring at the camera. Clearly a terrible actor (or…you know…just manufactured to have his eyes pointing that way).
All the zelda characters gather up for an epic fight. Sheik is looking at Zelda as if to say “How the fuck?” Wario sneaks into the shot because that’s how he do.
Olimar joins up with Little Mac to make the fight 2 v 2. I quite like these figures and I’m happy I was able to get them all at MSRP. Not dealing with scalpers, nor waking up early. Screw that mess.
I often wonder why Fox is such a good sprinter. But regardless, he looks on at Sonic a bit befuddled, never before has another matched his speed.
Since the Mario Party gang is more about partying than battling I put them all together. Bowser takes the front because he’s the most important, obviously, I’m sure he’d agree. Yarn Yoshi is on the mat because he (she?) is rad as fuck. Man I really like this. Way more than I was expecting.
So that’s that! Got some Animal Crossing one’s coming in. Might find a place for them and take pictures of those too. Who knows, maybe with all these photos I’ll be inspired to take a hand vac to this desk or something. Either that or hire a canary to clean up once a week.
