Good lord it has been a long time since I last updated. I really should get back into this. It’s a peculiar thing when I don’t write. I actually genuinely love doing it. But for some reason I just can’t get myself to from time to time. It’s a bit like exercise (which I still feel should be spelled excercise, but whatever), I feel amazing after I am done but it can be tough to start. Right now I’m both post workout, current caffeine high, and I’m chugging down an exceptionally delicious protein smoothie. If ever there was a time where I’ve got the energy to write, it would be now. I’m bordering on an anxiety attack but for now this is pretty good. I’ve been busy with games lately, admittedly at the detriment of my development work outside of work. That isn’t to say I’m not learning new things. My coding quality is improving almost every single day. I’m learning new tricks, improving readability, and just generally becoming a more skilled person.
I would like to write up some reviews soon. Valkyria Chronicles, Overwatch, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls 3 all deserve a write up. I’m not some oblivious fool that thinks nobody has heard of these games, nor do I think my reviews will sway anyone, but the act of reviewing them does help me to better understand just why I felt the way I did. It’s a time for me to reflect and to perhaps enhance my experience for future titles. Maybe, just maybe, I’ll also write a review for the final Disney Infinity game. Something I didn’t think I’d be writing.
There’s even some non gaming experiences I’ve had lately that I find to be exceptional. Our experience with Walmart Tire Repair was beyond exceptional. It was the ideal experience in retail to me. They were kind, handled a very stressful situation for me, and the end cost was arguably negligible. Say what you will about Walmart, the tire center in Canyon Country is top tier. Basically perfect to me.
Additionally I’m working on a silly little Pokemon related project. It’s extremely basic, so I don’t expect it to be vaporware like my main project. If it DOES end up being vaporware I might just grab a bunch of papers for the express purpose of throwing them up in surrender.
