Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy XIII…this’ll be a weird week.
Along with everything else I’ve been up to in my life I’m going to start finally playing Final Fantasy XIII and the two sequels. I’ll be starting tonight, shortly after this post, and playing it any time I’m not playing Witcher 3. The goal is to check out just how good, or bad, this game is for myself. I’ve heard legends for years and have been very interested. I finally got all three games for 30 dollars and I feel like that’s a barrier for entry that I’m willing to gamble.
In both cases I’m actually fairly excited. I have extremely high expectations for Witcher 3 and no expectations for Final Fantasy and in either case I think I’ll be pleasantly surprised. The thing about Witcher 3 is that my high expectations are relative to other games. If this game is even half as good as Witcher 2 I’ll be driven to near madness from joy. Someone will find me huddled in a dark corner babbling on about the nameless one.
Chattering devils crawling through the folds of my mind, eating away at every morsel of sanity that yet clings.
